Gentle and Senior Fitness Classes

Gentle Fitness and Walkfit (see class times below): These classes and programs cater to the older adult population OR those needing a post-rehab exercise program or with bone and joint conditions.
Gentle Fitness involves a combination of resistance training, core strengthening and cardio to allow the older adult improve their muscle strength, flexibility and cardiovascular health while raising their energy level and preventing injury. These classes are safe for those individuals with osteoporosis.
Walkfit is a gentle fitness program that involves intervals of walking with muscle conditioning outdoors. Fitness routes vary week to week. Classes run at Withrow Park (Carlaw and Danforth) and Alexander Muir Park (Yonge and Lawrence). For more information on times contact Lauren at www.torontopersonaltrainer.net
Gentle Fitness: next session starting September 2010 from 11:30-12:30 pm at Armour Heights Community Centre (Avenue and Wilson). Summer session runs July through August. For more information contact http://www.armourheightscommunitycentre.com
